Overview:

You can soon set up ‘Out of Office’ from the Teams Mobile Application itself on iOS and Android. Previously desktop or web Teams client was required to perform this action.

When this will happen:

We will begin rolling out in mid-October 2023 and expect to complete rollout by late October 2023.

How this will affect your organization:

With the introduction of this added capability, your mobile users would be able to set ‘Out of Office’ with an Autoreply from the Teams iOS or Android application itself by clicking on the avatar and clicking on ‘Out of Office’.

What you need to do to prepare:

No action is required to prepare to use this feature. You may consider updating your internal documentation to inform your mobile users about this new capability.
